Welcome to Laao, a smart logistics platform that enables fast and cost-effective parcel delivery using public buses. By using our website, application, or services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, booking a delivery, or acting as a driver or hub partner on Laao, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our services.

2. Description of Service

Laao connects customers, bus stand hubs, and drivers into a unified system, allowing packages to move efficiently between bus stations using existing transport routes. We offer a flexible handover process where customers can choose whether to submit their package through a hub or directly to a bus driver.

3. User Roles and Responsibilities

3.1 Customers

Customers are responsible for providing accurate package dimensions, weight, and delivery information. Packages must not contain illegal, hazardous, or prohibited items. Customers can choose to hand over packages via a Hub or Direct to Driver.

3.2 Hubs (Bus Stand Shops)

Hubs act as structured logistics points. Hub partners are responsible for accepting, verifying, securely storing, and handing over packages to drivers or receiving them at the destination.

3.3 Drivers

Drivers use the Laao app to accept or decline assignments, scan and verify packages (via ID, OTP, or QR code), transport packages securely, and update delivery status promptly.

4. Handover Workflows

  • Hub-Based Flow: The standard flow where a customer books a delivery, hands the package to a source hub, which hands it to a driver, who delivers it to a destination hub for the recipient to collect.
  • Direct Driver Handover: A faster flow where the customer meets the assigned driver directly at the boarding point for verification and handover.

5. Liability and Disclaimers

Laao provides the technology platform to connect parties but does not directly employ the drivers. We are not liable for lost, damaged, or stolen packages beyond the limits stated in our insurance policy.

6. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes. Continued use of the service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
