1Introduction

Welcome to LAAO. By accessing or using our application and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the platform.

2About the Platform

LAAO is a technology platform that connects customers with independent transport providers, bus operators, porters, and delivery facilitators for parcel transportation services within Kerala, India. We act only as an intermediary platform and do not directly transport parcels.

3Eligibility

Users must:

• Be 18 years of age or above to use the platform.
• Use of our Platform is available only to persons who can form a legally binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal data from children under the age of 18 years. If you have shared any personal data of children under the age of 18 years, you represent that you have the authority to do so and permit us to use the information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
• Provide accurate information.
• Use the platform legally and responsibly.

4User Responsibilities

Users agree:

• Not to send prohibited or illegal items.
• To provide correct sender and receiver details.
• To package parcels safely and securely.
• Not to misuse the platform.

The customer is responsible for the correctness of parcel contents and information provided.

5Prohibited Items

The following items are strictly prohibited:

• Illegal substances.
• Explosives, fire crackers, flammable items, dangerous materials.
• Gas cylinder, petrol, chemicals, acids.
• Drugs, narcotics, poisonous substances.
• Radioactive and hazardous material.
• Passport, aadhar.
• Weapons.
• Currency, cheque, credit/debit card.
• Gold, silver, diamond, platinum, and other high-value jewellery or precious items are prohibited (Artificial or low-value fashion jewellery may be permitted).
• Alcohol, tobacco, cigarettes.
• Meat, perishable items without proper packaging.
• Plant and seeds without proper packing.
• Live animals.
• Pornographic material.
• TV's, large LED screen.
• High value material.
• Any item prohibited under Indian law.

We reserve the right to refuse transportation of any parcel.

6Delivery and Transportation

Delivery times are estimated only. Delays may occur due to traffic, weather, vehicle breakdown, strikes, or operational issues. The platform does not guarantee exact delivery times.

7Third-Party Transporters

Transport services may be provided by:

• Private bus operators
• Individual porters
• Third-party logistics partners

These parties may operate independently. LAAO is not responsible for actions, negligence, or misconduct of independent transport providers beyond applicable law.

8Payments

Payments may be collected through the application.

• Service charges and platform fees may apply.
• Users agree to pay all applicable charges and taxes including GST where applicable.

9Cancellation and Refunds

• Refund eligibility depends on the stage of transportation.
• Platform fees may be non-refundable.
• Refund processing time may take 5–10 business days.

10Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• LAAO shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses.
• The platform acts solely as a technology intermediary connecting users with independent transport partners and does not assume responsibility for any loss, theft, damage, delay, or misdelivery of parcels during transit.
• Users acknowledge and agree that parcels are transported at their own risk.
• The platform shall not be liable for any compensation, reimbursement, or damages arising from parcel loss or damage under any circumstances.

11Insurance

Unless explicitly stated, parcels transported through the platform are not insured. Users are advised not to send high-value items without proper insurance coverage.

12Account Suspension

We may suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Violate laws
• Abuse the platform
• Provide false information
• Engage in fraudulent activity

13Privacy

Use of the platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

14Intellectual Property

All platform content, branding, logos, and software belong to LAAO and may not be copied without permission.

15Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts located in Kerala, India.

16Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after updates means acceptance of revised terms.

17Delivery Partner Responsibilities

Delivery partners including drivers, porters, transport providers, bus operators, and parcel handlers agree to:

• Provide accurate identity and contact information.
• Comply with all applicable Indian laws and transport regulations.
• Handle parcels carefully and responsibly.
• Deliver parcels only to the intended recipient or authorized person.
• Maintain professional behavior with customers and platform staff.
• Avoid carrying prohibited or illegal items.
• Not misuse customer information or parcel contents.
• Follow platform operational guidelines and instructions.

Delivery partners are solely responsible for maintaining any licenses, permits, registrations, insurance, or approvals required by law for their transportation activities.

18Independent Contractor Relationship

Delivery partners operate as independent service providers and not as employees, agents, or representatives of LAAO. Nothing in these Terms creates:

• Employment relationship
• Partnership
• Joint venture
• Agency relationship

Delivery partners are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, fuel costs, vehicle maintenance, and legal compliance.

19Verification and Background Checks

LAAO may request identity verification documents including:

• Aadhaar
• Driving License
• Vehicle documents
• Business registration documents

The platform reserves the right to approve, reject, suspend, or terminate any delivery partner account at its discretion.

20Delivery Partner Conduct

Delivery partners shall not:

• Transport prohibited items knowingly
• Misbehave with customers
• Demand unauthorized extra payments
• Use fake documents or false identity
• Engage in theft, fraud, or illegal activity
• Open, tamper with, or inspect parcels without authorization

Violation may result in account suspension, permanent ban, or legal action.

21Earnings and Payments

Delivery partners may receive payments based on:

• Distance
• Parcel type
• Delivery completion
• Platform pricing policies

Platform commissions, deductions, penalties, or taxes may apply. Payments may be withheld temporarily in case of:

• Fraud investigations
• Customer disputes
• Policy violations
• Incomplete KYC verification

22Liability of Delivery Partners

Delivery partners may be held responsible for:

• Loss caused by negligence
• Intentional damage
• Theft or misconduct
• Violation of transportation laws

However, LAAO shall not be liable for personal disputes between customers and independent delivery partners beyond applicable law.

23Vehicle and Safety Compliance

Delivery partners using vehicles must ensure:

• Valid driving license
• Valid registration certificate
• Insurance where legally required
• Pollution certificate where applicable
• Safe operating condition of the vehicle

The platform may suspend partners using unsafe or unauthorized vehicles.

24Account Suspension or Termination for Partners

LAAO may suspend or permanently terminate delivery partner accounts for:

• Fraudulent activity
• Repeated delivery failures
• Customer complaints
• Policy violations
• Illegal activities
• Unsafe conduct

25No Guarantee of Earnings

LAAO does not guarantee:

• Minimum income
• Fixed number of delivery requests
• Continuous work availability

Earnings may vary depending on demand, location, performance, and operational conditions.
